International Team Tournament

The International Team Tournament is a Warhammer 40k team event in which teams of 5 players battle it out team vs team. With space for over 320 gamers, the ITT is set to become a calendar highlight and biggest team event in the U.K.

The event is on February 25, 26 and 27th and we have managed to secure the Northampton County Grounds for this exciting new event; a huge facility walking distance from the town center and at one end of the legendary Welli Road pub-crawl. The main team event shall take place on Saturday and Sunday and we will have our signature Friday night RTTs and Doubles events for anyone who wants to come down early for some additional fun.

Over the course of Saturday and Sunday you will battle it out over 5-6 games. Everyone will play at least 5 games before the cut is made for the grand final. On Sunday night there will be a general awards ceremony in which the finalists are announced and other prizes are given out, such as best painted etc. then the finalists will battle it out in a 6th round to see who is crowned overall champion.

How to Form a Team:

Your team can represent your club, school, nation or simply just a group of friends. Each team will need to have  distinct name but you are more than welcome to bring multiple teams from the same club etc. For example if 10 players from my  club 'Up Dice' want to attend, we could bring two teams called 'Up Dice 1' and 'Up Dice 2' or A and B etc.

Each team is made up of 5 players and only one instance of each faction can be included per team. This means you can only have one of each of these across all 5 players with Astartes supplements sub-factions all counting as space marines:

Space Marines, Grey Knights, Adeptus Custodes, Adeptus Mechanicus, Adepta Sororitas, Sisters of Silence, Questor Imperialis, Inquisition, Officio Assassinorum, Astra Militarum, Necrons, T'au Empire, Tyranids, Genestealer Cult, Craftworld Eldar, Drukhari, Harlequins, Ynnari, Heretic Astartes, Chaos Daemons, Questor Traitoris, Deathguard, Thousand Sons, and Orks.

How does it work?

Teams are paired against each other randomly in round 1 and then via a win/loss format thereafter in which winning teams play against winning teams and so forth. Within the team vs team pairing, players are paired against opposing team members by their captains. The results of all the player vs player games are used to determine which team wins the round.

So if you want to battle it out with hundreds of other gamers, including some of the best players in the world along with a bunch of guys and girls who just want to throw some dice and have a blast playing 40k; get your ticket from our webstore on Friday July 2nd.

The ITT is a 5-player, team format, matched play event. The gaming pack, is in the process of being revamped for 9th edition but will be very similar to the established team formats you may be familiar with from the American Team Championships and European Team Championships combined with the lessons learnt over the different singles events we run, which use the LGT pack: currently available here. If you have any general enquires at all, please get in touch here.
