Job Location, Hours:


Remote working / On-site during event weekends. Candidates must be amenable to working away from home for extended periods during event weekends. Standard work week outside of events: Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00 (flexible subject to completion of tasks).

Job Summary:


We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Tournament Organizer to join our growing organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of wargaming events, with the ultimate goal of delivering exceptional experiences for all participants. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of the tabletop wargaming community, outstanding communication skills, and a proven ability to manage event logistics. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Rules and Regulations: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the latest rules and regulations for various tabletop wargames, ensuring strict compliance with relevant guidelines for all events. Drafting event pack, updating FAQs & policy documents etc

  2. Tournament Promotion: Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to develop and disseminate promotional materials, utilizing social media and other channels to generate interest and increase event attendance.

  3. Participant Management: Oversee registration and communication with participants, ensuring the provision of essential event information and addressing inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  4. Tournament Operations: Supervise the seamless execution of tournaments, encompassing schedule management, bracket updates, and prompt resolution of disputes or issues.

  5. Staff and Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and manage tournament/game system-specific staff and volunteers to guarantee adequate support and coverage during events.

  6. Post-Event Analysis: Gather and assess participant feedback, evaluate event outcomes, and identify areas for improvement in future events.

  7. Community Engagement: Engage proactively with the tabletop wargaming community, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes growth and camaraderie.

  8. Remain abreast of industry trends, new game releases, and other pertinent information to ensure events consistently cater to a broad range of players.

Qualifications:


Applicants must hold a full driver's license and own a personal vehicle.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Comfortable with public speaking and manual labor

  • Demonstrable self-motivation and ability to work independently

  • Background in social media marketing and community engagement is advantageous

Experience:

  • Proven interest in a variety of game systems and a history of community engagement or leadership roles in clubs, podcasts, or other self-motivated endeavors

  • Interest or background in technology, content creation, or gaming is beneficial

Salary Range: £24-32,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.


Bonus:

  • Performance-related Christmas bonus based on individual and corporate performance

  • Annual equity bonus contingent upon longevity and company performance
